Aurangabad, Jan 14: Wockhardt Global School, Shendra MIDC, an IB (International Baccalaureate) continuum school, celebrated the festival of Makarsankranti with an inter-school skating competition and kite flying event. After the COVID lockdown, this was the first sporting event conducted in the school. The skating competition received a rousing response from children all over the city. The competition was conducted across various age groups and skates categories. Skating coach Ajay Bhatkar was the judge. The winners were presented with medals and certificates.
The school also hosted a kite flying event in keeping with the festive fervour. A kite stall was set up. Medicover hospitals offered free health check-up to the visitors.
