Following continuous traffic congestion in the Shivajinagar underpass and the issue of waterlogging during the upcoming monsoon, a joint inspection was conducted on Tuesday (April 28) by officials from the municipal corporation, MSEDCL, Public Works Department, and the railway department. During the inspection, officials assured that the work would be completed within 15 days.
Acting swiftly, work on the subway began the very next day. MSEDCL initiated excavation work ahead of shifting the existing cable line. Officials present said the cables would be relocated after the digging process.
Meanwhile, the Public Works Department has also started work on the service road towards Shivajinagar, including concreting. Residents have expressed hope that the remaining work will now be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
