Aurangabad, Jan 21:

A drunkard speeding car driver created havoc by running the car wrong side on the Vasantrao Naik Chowk to Cidco Bus Stand on Wednesday at around 11 pm. However, a grave mishap was averted as the speeding car fortunately did not dash any vehicle on the road. Meanwhile, the bomb detection and disposal squad on watching this incident chased the car and nabbed the car driver. He was later handed over to the Cidco MIDC police.

According to the details, the traffic on the road on Wednesday night was as usual. The Bomb squad after inspecting the Cidco bus stand had come out on the road. The squad members saw a car (MH 20 FP 4977) coming speedily from the Vasantrao Naik Chowk wrong side towards Harsul Tee-Point. As the car was in speed, a bus driver reduced the speed of the bus and stopped aside. Meanwhile, the members of the squad chased the car and nabbed the car driver. He was later handed over to the Cidco MIDC police. However, no one came forward to lodge complaint against the driver and hence the police leave him at night.
