Aurangabad, May 19:

A youth running on the platform to take a selfie

with a goods train fell and died due to the dash by the train at Chikalthana

Railway station on Tuesday at around 3 pm. The deceased has been identified as

Shaikh Shoaib Shaikh Mehboob (20, Patelnagar, Chikalthana) and used to work in

a compaly at Shendra MIDC.

On May 18, he along with four to five friends had

gone to Chikalthana Railway Station in the afternoon. They were clicking

pictures on their phones. Shoaib was also taking selfie on the platform. He was

standing on the platform and was taking selfie when a goods train was passing

by. However, he lost control and fell on the direction of the train and was

dashed on the bogies. He sustained severe head injuries. His friends

immediately informed about the incident to Shoaib’s uncle on phone. His uncle

and friends then took him to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH)

in an unconscious condition where the doctors declared him dead after

examination. A case has been registered at the Cidco MIDC police station.
