Youth drowns in farm pond

An 18-year-old youth drowned in a farm pond in the Kadim Shahapur area under the jurisdiction of Waluj police station on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Rohan Bankar (18, Babulgaon in Gangapur tehsil). According to police, the incident occurred around 11.50 am when Rohan drowned in a farm pond at Kadim Shahapur. His relatives immediately rushed him to the sub-district hospital in Gangapur for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Waluj police station.
