Bajaj Housing Finance Shares Jump by 5% Ahead of Q3 Results as Investors Cheer
Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd (NSE: BAJAJHFL) saw a sharp jump of 6% today and is currently trading at ₹92.65 against the previous close of ₹88.02. The spike comes as investors anticipate the company's Q3 results on February 2, reflecting optimism in its performance. Despite the positive movement today, the stock has faced a challenging six months, losing nearly 20% of its value. Market watchers suggest that the upcoming quarterly numbers could be a key indicator of the company’s short-term recovery prospects.
Bajaj Housing Finance was among the most successful listings of 2025, listing at a premium of more than 100% from its IPO price. The stock went on to make a post-listing high of ₹188.5 before declining from those levels. For the December quarter, the company's Assets Under Management grew by 23% to ₹1.33 lakh crore, compared to ₹1.08 lakh crore last year. During the quarter, AUM went up by ₹6,652 crore. Disbursements stood at ₹16,535 crore, up from ₹12,571 crore in the previous year.
The company’s market valuation stands at ₹1,30,751.90 crore. The ₹6,560 crore initial public offer (IPO) of Bajaj Housing Finance received 63.6 times subscription on September 11, amid overwhelming participation from institutional buyers. The IPO price band was ₹66–₹70 per share. Despite the stock’s price weakness, Bajaj Housing Finance has demonstrated strong fundamental growth over the long term. Operating profits have grown at a CAGR of 27.65%, while net sales have expanded at an annual rate of 30%. The company has posted positive quarterly results for four consecutive quarters.
Market veteran Deven Choksey, Managing Director at DRChoksey FinServ Pvt. Ltd., remains optimistic about Bajaj Housing Finance’s long-term prospects. “Bajaj Housing Finance is well-positioned to benefit from strong housing credit demand, and its growth trajectory in the sector remains robust. The company is also championing the use of AI to bring customers onto its platform, which will strengthen its growth model,” he said. “Housing as a sector is expected to grow significantly, and Bajaj Housing Finance is poised to capitalize on this expansion.”
