Gold Price on March 23, 2026: Prices of Yellow Metal and Silver Fall Sharply; Check Rates
Gold and silver prices in the Indian domestic market saw a sharp decline. On Monday, March 23 in early trends, the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold prices fell by 4.92%, while silver dropped by 6%. Following the decline, gold prices slipped to Rs 1,37,377 per 10 grams and silver to Rs 2,13,166 per kg. The fall comes as the US dollar strengthens amid rising tensions in the Middle East, putting pressure on bullion prices.
Fall in Gold and Silver Prices
On Friday, gold had closed at Rs 1,44,825 per 10 grams. Today, it opened lower by Rs 7,448. Similarly, silver had settled at Rs 2,27,470 per kg in the previous session and opened today with a sharp decline of Rs 14,304.
Gold and Silver Rates in Major Metro Cities
In Delhi, the price of 24-carat gold has reached Rs 1,46,110 per 10 grams. The rate for 22-carat gold stands at Rs 1,33,940, while 18-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,09,620. Silver prices in the capital have risen to Rs 2,44,900 per kg.
In Mumbai, on March 23, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 1,45,960 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,33,790 and 18-carat at Rs 1,09,470. Silver prices in Mumbai are also at Rs 2,44,900 per kg.
In Bengaluru, the price of 24-carat gold is Rs 1,45,960 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,33,790. Silver is trading at Rs 2,44,900 per kg.
In Chennai, gold prices are slightly higher than in other cities. The price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 1,48,570 per 10 grams, 22-carat gold at Rs 1,36,190, and 18-carat gold at Rs 1,13,590. Silver prices in Chennai have reached Rs 2,49,900 per kg.
