Bangladesh recovered through a massive 170-run partnership between Shanto and Mominul. The duo frustrated the Pakistan bowlers with disciplined batting and rotated the strike effectively.
Shanto brought up his century with an aggressive approach, smashing 12 fours and two sixes before being trapped lbw by Mohammad Abbas for 101. Mominul continued steadily but fell for 91 after being adjudged lbw off Noman Ali.
Veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten on 48 from 104 deliveries at stumps, while Litton Das was unbeaten on eight. The pair added an unbroken 25-run stand for the fifth wicket to take Bangladesh past the 300-run mark.
For Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas was the most economical bowler with figures of 1/51 in 22 overs, while Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali and Noman Ali claimed one wicket each.
