IPL 2026: Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru have announced injury replacements for the remainder of the Indian Premier League 2026 season. CSK have signed Kuldip Yadav as a replacement for injured pacer Khaleel Ahmed. The left-arm medium pacer will join the franchise for INR 30 lakh. Kuldip made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals in 2021 and has featured in three IPL matches so far.
Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have brought in English fast bowler Richard Gleeson as a replacement for injured Sri Lankan pacer Nuwan Thushara. Gleeson has been signed for INR 1.6 crore.
The 37-year-old has represented England cricket team in six T20 Internationals and has picked up nine wickets.
Gleeson is no stranger to the IPL, having previously represented Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in the 2024 and 2025 seasons respectively. He played two matches for CSK and one game for Mumbai Indians during his earlier stints in the tournament.
Both CSK and RCB are currently in the race for IPL 2026 playoff qualification and will hope the new additions provide depth to their pace-bowling departments in the closing stages of the league phase.
