Captain Shubman Gill led from the front with a blazing 84, while Sai Sudharsan chipped in with a fluent 55 as Gujarat Titans posted a formidable 229/4 after being asked to bat first.

Gill and Sudharsan laid the foundation for the massive total with a superb 118-run opening partnership. The duo attacked the RR bowlers from the outset and maintained a brisk scoring rate throughout the powerplay and middle overs.

Gill played an aggressive knock filled with elegant strokeplay before falling short of a century, while Sudharsan brought up another impressive half-century in a consistent IPL 2026 campaign.

Towards the end of the innings, Washington Sundar provided the finishing flourish with an unbeaten 37 off just 20 deliveries.

For Rajasthan Royals, medium pacer Brijesh Sharma was the most successful bowler with figures of 2/47, while Yash Raj Punja and Ravindra Jadeja claimed one wicket each.

Chasing 230, Rajasthan Royals never recovered after losing wickets at regular intervals despite a quick start from youngster Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who scored 36 runs.

Veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja top-scored for RR with 38, but the hosts failed to build partnerships and were eventually bowled out for 152 in 16.3 overs.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan starred with the ball for Gujarat Titans, returning excellent figures of 4/33 to dismantle the RR middle order.

Jason Holder also impressed with 3/12, while South African pacer Kagiso Rabada chipped in with 2/33.

The emphatic victory strengthened Gujarat Titans’ position in the IPL 2026 points table as the playoff race enters its crucial phase.
