IPL 2026, RCB vs MI Today March: Virat Kohli endured another disappointing outing with the bat after being dismissed for a golden duck during Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s Indian Premier League 2026  clash against Mumbai Indians in Raipur on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

Opening the innings in his record-equalling 278th IPL appearance, Kohli was dismissed on the very first ball he faced by MI pacer Deepak Chahar. Attempting to play a shot down the ground, the RCB batter mistimed the delivery and was caught by Raj Bawa inside the 30-yard circle.

It was Kohli’s second successive duck in IPL 2026 after he was bowled for a two-ball duck by Prince Yadav against Lucknow Super Giants in the previous match.

The 37-year-old last recorded consecutive ducks in an IPL season in 2022, when he failed to score against Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad in back-to-back matches.

The dismissal against Mumbai Indians also marked Kohli’s 12th duck in IPL history, the most by any batter for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Despite the recent failures, Kohli remains RCB’s leading run-scorer in IPL 2026 and continues to hold the record for the most runs scored in IPL history.

The former RCB captain was earlier involved in another major milestone on Sunday, equalling MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma for the most appearances in IPL history with 278 matches.
