Chasing a target of 193, Kohli produced a masterclass under pressure, scoring an unbeaten 105 off 60 deliveries with the help of 11 boundaries and three sixes. The former RCB captain guided the chase brilliantly as Bengaluru reached 194/4 in 19.1 overs.

The victory lifted RCB to the top of the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points from 12 matches. They are level on points with Gujarat Titans but moved ahead on the basis of a superior net run rate.

Kohli, who had endured a rare lean patch with consecutive ducks in his previous two innings, looked in complete control during the chase. He stitched together a crucial 92-run partnership for the second wicket with Devdutt Padikkal, who contributed 39 runs off 27 balls.

RCB made a positive start after a cautious opening over, with Kohli quickly finding his rhythm against the KKR pace attack. Even after Padikkal’s dismissal, the veteran batter continued to anchor the innings and ensured there were no major hiccups in the chase.

Earlier, KKR posted a competitive total of 192/4 after being asked to bat first. Young batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi led the innings with a well-compiled 71 off 46 deliveries, striking seven fours and three sixes.

Raghuvanshi added 68 runs for the third wicket alongside Cameron Green, who scored 32 off 24 balls. He later combined with Rinku Singh for a valuable 76-run stand for the fourth wicket. Rinku remained unbeaten on 49 off 29 balls and provided the late acceleration for KKR.

For RCB, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was among the wickets once again and finished with figures of 1/34.

KKR bowlers struggled to contain the RCB batters during the chase, although Kartik Tyagi impressed with three wickets for 32 runs.
