IPL 2026, CSK vs DC Today Match: Delhi Capitals pacer Lungi Ngidi is available for selection for match 48 of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Chennai Super Kings at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.

Ngidi had missed the previous matches after suffering a head injury during Delhi’s game against Punjab Kings. He was taken to hospital after the incident and later discharged in stable condition.

The pacer completed the mandatory six-day concussion protocol and has returned to training. DC bowling coach Munaf Patel confirmed that Ngidi is fully fit ahead of the match.

“Lungi and all bowlers are 100 percent fit. He did not play the last two games because of the six-day criteria, but he is fully fit now,” Munaf said.

While Ngidi is available, his inclusion in the playing XI will depend on team combination. Delhi have multiple overseas pace options, including Mitchell Starc, who is fit, along with players like Kyle Jamieson and Dushmantha Chameera, who featured in recent matches.

If selected, Ngidi could bolster Delhi’s pace attack alongside Starc, giving the team a potent fast-bowling combination as they aim to strengthen their position in the points table.

A final decision on Ngidi’s inclusion in the playing XI will be taken at the toss.
