Although the opener has resumed training and is working towards full fitness, the team management is yet to confirm his availability. Head coach Mahela Jayawardene said the decision will depend on daily fitness assessments and feedback from the medical team.

“He is working really hard to get back at it. So for us with the medical team, it’s on a daily basis. We see how he feels, how he pulls up the next day. So we’ll make a decision tomorrow. We’ll see him practicing today as well. So let’s see how he feels tomorrow and what the medical team will tell us,” he said.
Rohit has scored 137 runs in four matches this season at an average of 45.67 and a strike rate of over 165, including a half-century in the opening game.
As things stand, Rohit’s availability remains uncertain, and a final decision on his participation is expected to be made at the toss.
