Delhi Capitals opener became the second Indian and fourth player overall to reach the milestone. Her effort added another major record to her growing list of achievements in the league. Mumbai Indians captain Harmanpreet Kaur is the only other Indian in the list. Harmanpreet crossed 1,000 runs earlier this season during a match against Gujarat Giants, becoming the first Indian to do so in the WPL.
England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt was the first player in the league’s history to reach the landmark, which she achieved last season. Former Australia captain Meg Lanning, who is leading UP Warriorz in the ongoing edition, is the other batter to have crossed the four-figure mark.
