Bangladesh National Cricket Team vs Pakistan National Cricket Team Standings: Bangladesh climbed to fifth place in the updated ICC World Test Championship standings after securing a historic 2-0 Test series sweep over Pakistan with a 78-run victory in the second Test at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet on Wednesday. May 20, 2026.

The series win marked Bangladesh’s first-ever clean sweep over Pakistan in Test cricket and significantly boosted their World Test Championship campaign. Bangladesh now have two wins, one loss and one draw in the current WTC cycle, taking their Percentage of Points (PCT) to 58.33.

As a result, India national cricket team slipped to sixth place in the standings with a PCT of 48.15. The Shubman Gill-led side will have an opportunity to improve their position during the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka national cricket team later this year.

India are also scheduled to face Afghanistan national cricket team in a one-off Test from June 6, although the match will not be part of the ongoing WTC cycle.

Former champions Australia national cricket team remain at the top of the standings with a PCT of 87.50 after winning seven of their eight matches so far. New Zealand national cricket team are second with 77.78, while defending champions South Africa national cricket team occupy third place with a PCT of 75.

Sri Lanka national cricket team are fourth with 66.67, while Pakistan dropped to eighth after losing three of their four matches in the cycle.

Bangladesh will next tour Australia for a two-match Test series in August before hosting South Africa for another two-Test series in November.

Pakistan, meanwhile, are set to tour the West Indies for a two-match Test series in July before taking on England in a three-match Test series later this year.
