Lucknow Super Giants, meanwhile, slipped further down the table after suffering their ninth defeat of the season. Rishabh Pant’s side stayed ninth with eight points from 13 matches and are now officially out of the playoff race.
Earlier in the match, Mitchell Marsh smashed 96 off 57 balls while Josh Inglis struck 60 to guide LSG to 220/5 in 20 overs. In reply, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continued his remarkable season with a blistering 93 off 38 deliveries, while Dhruv Jurel remained unbeaten on 53 as RR chased down the target in 19.1 overs.
At the top of the table, Royal Challengers Bengaluru continue to lead with 18 points and have already qualified for the playoffs. Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad occupy second and third positions respectively with 16 points each.
Punjab Kings are fifth with 13 points, while Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals remain in contention with 12 points each.
