India took a remarkable spot at the 66th Grammy Awards in Los Angeles as Zakir Hussain received the Best Global Music Performance award for his work in 'Pashto,' alongside Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer, featuring Rakesh Chaurasia. Adding to the celebration, Shankar Mahadevan brought home the award for Best Global Music Album for 'This Moment.' In a post on social media, the official Grammys account congratulated Shankar Mahadevan, stating, "Congrats Best Global Music Album winner - 'This Moment' Shakti. #GRAMMYs."

Indian music composer Ricky Kej shared the excitement, calling it a phenomenal year for India at the Grammys. In his social media post, he marveled at Ustad Zakir Hussain winning three Grammys in one night, while Rakesh Chaurasia secured two. Kej also celebrated the victory of SHAKTI in the Global Music Album category, acknowledging the brilliance of Indian musicians Shankar Mahadevan, Selvaganesh Vinayakram, Ganesh Rajagopalan, and Ustad Zakir Hussain.

These artists were nominated alongside other notable figures such as Susana Baca, Bokante, Burna Boy, and Davido at the Grammy Awards, showcasing India's significant success on the global music stage.
