Aayush Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with Salman Khan's home production Loveyatri is gearing up for his next film Kwatha co-starring Katrina Kaif's sister Isabelle Kaif. The movie which marks the debut of  Isabelle has been in the news ever since it was announced. The pair kickstarted filming for Kwatha last week in Mumbai where they shot for a few portions. The team is believed to put the shooting on halt for a couple of days in January post which they plan to head to Delhi for 10 days and further move on to North East. As per producer Aditya Joshi, majority of chunks from the film will be shot in the North East including some dramatic scenes and action sequences.

Directed by Karan Bhutani, Kwatha is a story based on true events. Aayush Sharma plays an army officer while Isabelle plays a doctor in the film. Aayush trained at an army camp for a few months in Pune as part of his prep and put on 12 kg of muscle weight. While talking about his time spent with the soldiers as an "enlightening experience", Aayush added, "Our idea is to tell a story that not many people know, and at the same time, also do it with responsibility, without making the action look filmi."The film is slated for December 4, 2020 release.
