Actor Pearl V Puri to be produced in court today in connection with rape case

Television actor Pearl V Puri has been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly raping a  minor girl. MBVC Commissioner Sadanand Datte informed that the actor was arrested on Friday (June 4) evening and action was taken after the DCP vetted the case and evidence was collected.DCP Sanjay Patil added, "The victim filed FIR in 2019 u/s IPC 376 AB, r/w POCSO Act 4, 8, 12,19, 21 at Waliv and complained that accused Pearl Puri had sexually assaulted victim was then aged 5 yrs. 

The accused is taken into custody and will be produced today in court.''Pearl V Puri made his acting debut in 2013 with Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat and rose to fame with Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil. He was later seen on shows like Naagin 3, Naagarjuna Ek Yoddha and Bepanah Pyaar. His latest stint on TV was Brahmarakshas 2 where he played ANgad Mehra.
