Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke actor Sameer Sharma was found dead at his Mumbai home after he was seen hanging from the ceiling of his kitchen. The actor who enjoyed a decent social media following had written a a profound note on mental illness and depression following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death on 14 June. The actor wrote how depression how is the most 'lonely disease' and why nobody will understand even if you try to explain. Sameer also said that a person dying by suicide is not because he/she is coward after being burdened by social or financial pressure but because 'the devil just doesn't stop screaming, a screaming which causes pain so unbearable yet completely inexplicable."His last post on Instagram was a scenic picture of the sea with no caption.
Meanwhile, according to Malad Police, Sameer Sharma rented the flat in February 2020, weeks before the Coronavirus lockdown. The actor was spotted by his society's watchman who saw the body during his night round and alerted the society members. Looking at the condition of the body, police believe that Samir has been dead for a few days. No suicide note from the apartment of the actor has been recovered as of yet. A case of accidental death has been registered and body has been sent for autopsy. The actor was currently a part of Star Plus' Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke. He essayed the character of Kuhu's father on the show. He is also known for his other roles in hit shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
