After Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan, Aishwarya Rai shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the shoot of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to mark 22 years of its release. The actor thanked director Sanjay Leela Bhansali in a instagram note. In the series of photos, the actress can be seen discussing a scene with SLB and in another, chatting with him. She also shared two stunning shots of her look as Nandini.Aishwarya shared the pictures with the caption, "22 years of “HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM” I am reminded, by such an outpouring of love… but my dearest Sanjay… This one is evergreen… Forever… THANK YOU… and to ALL our audience world over… and my ever LOVING family of well-wishers… THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR LOVE…ALWAYS Much LOVE too.

"Earlier in the day, Salman and Ajay too shared behind-the-scenes photos with the filmmaker and marked the memorable day. Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam was released in 1999. It performed well on the box-office and emerged as one of the most loved films of the Hindi cinema. Set in the deserts of Rajasthan, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam is a romantic musical drama based on Rashtriyashayar Jhaverchand Meghani’s play ‘Shetal ne Kathe’. It presented the story of a newlywed man Vanraj (Devgn), who finds that his wife is in love with another man. Much to the dismay of his family, he takes on the journey to reunite the lovers. While on the hunt of her former lover Sameer (Khan), his wife Nandini (Rai) realises Vanraj’s goodness and falls for him.
