After donating Rs 2 crore to a Delhi Gurdwara Covid care centre, superstar, Amitabh Bachchan has bought 50 oxygen concentrators from Poland for Covid relief. The veteran actor has also donated 20 ventilators to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).The Sholay actor took to his blog to apprise fans of his latest effort to help fight Covid-19 in India. Amitabh Bachchan, who has a special connection with Poland and especially the city Wroclaw, wrote that he has placed an order of 50 oxygen concentrators in Poland. On Thursday, he wrote on his blog, "The general call from the places that were in need of help had been for the urgent need of Oxygen Concentrators. These are and were difficult to procure and when I was not getting any immediate source to acquire them my friend and the Indian Consul in Wroclaw stepped forward...came out with the name and details of a Polish Company that was making them...I immediately placed an order for 50 Oxygen Concentrators (sic)."He informed fans that the 50 oxygen concentrators will be shipped out of Poland on May 15.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote that when he asked Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and municipal hospitals in Mumbai about how he can help them in their fight against Covid-19, they suggested him to donate ventilators to the hospitals rather than donating money. So, the actor ordered 20 ventilators, 10 of which have been delivered to the hospitals. He wrote, "The BMC the BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation when I said I wished to donate something for the cause, told me to not give money, but to get them Ventilators...I had ordered 20 ventilators, 10 of which have arrived to day and I am happy that I was able to deliver them to the BMC and a few Municipal Hospitals in Mumbai today. The balance 10 should be in by the 25th and they shall also be distributed to some more Hospitals in need of them (sic)." Meanwhile, Amitabh is set to return on the small screen with Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, the registrations for which have already begun. He also has a number of films in the pipeline, including Chehre, Jhund, Brahmastra and May in his kitty.
