Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has booked a special flight for 500 stranded migrants which will depart  for Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Uttar Pradesh on 10 and 11 June. Disturbed by the plight of the poor workers the megastar decided to take such an initiative. The logistics of the travel is being overlooked by a close aide of the Sholay actor.  The veteran star is also arranging for a few more flights to ensure migrants reach their hometowns in West Bengal, and Bihar. 

A week ago, Amitabh had also arranged for 10 buses to help migrants reach their native places in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier, Amitabh supported the families of 1,00,000 daily wage workers belonging to the All India Film Employees Confederation by sponsoring their monthly ration. Amitabh was also a part of the I for India online fundraising concert organised by filmmakers Karan Johar and Zoya Akhtar which managed to raise a funds of 52 crore for coronavirus affected victims.On the work front, Big B will be next seen in Brahmastra which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo appearance.
