Director Anurag Kashyap of Dev D and Black Friday fame, recently underwent an angioplasty over the weekend in a Mumbai hospital after he complained of mild chest pain. He is currently recuperating. Anurag complained of slight discomfort in his chest and decided to get it checked. Angiography revealed a few blockages in his heart. He was immediately admitted for surgery. The filmmaker’s spokesperson also confirmed the news of the director undergoing surgery to Indian express and added that he is currently recuperating. He has reportedly been advised a week’s rest before he can resume work.

On the work front, after wrapping up Dobaaraa starring Taapsee Pannu in March, Anurag was working on the film’s post-production from his home in Mumbai.
