Deepika Padukone To Play Suhana's Mom in Shah Rukh Khan Starrer 'King', Reports

Shah Rukh Khan is currently shotting for Siddharth Anand film 'King'. This film is extra special for Shah Rukh Khan as this marks a theatrical debut of Suhana Khan. with excitement steadily building, a new update about the film has now surfaced. As per the sources Deepika is likely to make comeback and play role of mother in 'King' According to reports of Peeping Moon, Deepika Padukone will make cameo appearance in King playing the role of Suhana Khan’s mother and Shah Rukh Khan’s ex-girlfriend. The makers Shah Rukh and Siddharth were keen on casting Deepika for the part, and she readily agreed when approached. Fans are now eagerly awaiting to see how she will portray this emotional role and what dynamic she will bring to the story as Suhana’s mother.

Deepika had previously appeared in a cameo in Jawan, where she played Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and mother in a double role. Over the years, Shah Rukh and Deepika have shared a successful on-screen pairing in films like Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, Happy New Year, and Pathaan. Besides Shah Rukh, Deepika, and Suhana, King also stars Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan in pivotal roles. Abhishek is set to portray the main antagonist.

As per several media reports, King is expected to be a revenge drama. The storyline is said to be reminiscent of the 2000 film Bicchu, starring Bobby Deol and Rani Mukerji, which was a remake of the French classic Léon: The Professional. In King, Shah Rukh is rumored to be taking on a grey-shaded role, adding further intrigue to the plot.
