Dilip Kumar's funeral will take place later in the day, it was announced via his official Twitter account. "Burial today at 5:00 PM. Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai," the tweet read. Dilip Kumar, 98, was suffering from breathing issues. The news of his demise was shared on his official Twitter account.  Many celebs from the entertainment industry have offered their condolences.

The actor had been hospitalised twice in June, both times he had complained of breathing problems. The doctors had diagnosed him with pleural effusion, for which he also got treated. The veteran actor was first admitted to the hospital on June 6 and was discharged on June 11. However, after again facing breathing issues, he was taken to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Hinduja Hospital, a non-Covid-19 facility. He was last seen on the big screens in 1998's Qila.
