Dr Akshata Prabhu, Mrs (Ms.) International World, awarded 'Angel of the Year' by Super Model of the Year based in USA

In today’s globalised world, role models like Dr. Akshata Prabhu are changing the face of representation as a lot of importance is given to inclusivity & diversity. Akshata is one such example as she has emerged as a global face on the international fashion scene. Recently, she won 'Angel of the Year' Award by SuperModel of the Year, USA for being a model as well as a role model. She was chosen from over 60+ contestants across the globe to win this award. Akshata has been known for bringing laurels to our country as she won the International Crown & Title of Mrs ( Ms.) International World on 9th Aug 2021 in Florida, USA. With tremendous hard work & perseverance, she travelled 13,000 miles to reach USA. This was just after the 2nd Covid-19 wave where India was banned by the USA for travels. She had to travel from India to Germany, Germany to Mexico, be quarantined in Mexico for 14 days & only then was allowed to enter USA in order to compete for the international pageant. She beat contestants from USA, Poland, Sweden, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Italy, Haiti & many more to clinch the title of Ms. (Mrs) International World 2021. 

To win this prestigious title she brought along a huge experience of a decade of being a Professional Model. She has been a fashion and photo shoot model for multinational Brands like Loreal, Smirn Off, Times of India, Bombay Times, Aza Fashions, Colgate & many more. She has also acted in Indian movies and was a popular face on Television with Music Videos & Chat Shows in the early 2000s.In 2019, she won the Mrs India World 1st Runner Up and was exposed to the world of Pageantry. Thereafter, she co-founded The International Glamour Project®️ Miss Teen India, Miss India, Mrs India along with her husband, Dr. Swaroop Puranik. It is a platform which is an International Pageant, an International Modelling & Talent Agency, a Training Institute for aspiring model & pageant contestants & a Production House giving opportunities to fresh talent. With her platform she has redefined pageantry & fashion by choosing to look beyond height, weight, age, body type & complexion valuing confidence, personality & substance. 

With this massive jump in the field of entrepreneurship & leadership, she has gained a lot of visibility in India & USA.Recently, she was seen walking for various designers during the New York Fashion Week as a Signature Model and was also featured on massive Billboards in Times Square, New York & 34th Street, Fashion Avenue(NYC) by SuperModels Unlimited. It looks like her journey is a testament to the unstoppable nature of women. Prabhu is also a Pediatric Dental Surgeon proving that 'beauty with brains' is a concept that exists for real. She has now signed her first International Film 'The Italians' wherein she plays the role of United Nations Ambassador & Diplomat, Dr. Indira Hadiya Gupta.
