Actress Shilpa Shetty urged her fans not to let Hungama 2, her comeback film after 14 years, suffer due to the ongoing pornography controversy involving her husband Raj Kundra. The Baazigar actress wrote, , “I believe and practice the teachings of Yoga, ‘The only place where life exists is the present moment, NOW.’ Hungama 2 involves the relentless efforts of an entire team that’s worked very hard to make a good film, and the film shouldn’t suffer ever (sic)!”

The actress continued, “So today, I request you all to watch Hungama 2 with your families to put a smile on your face and for the sake of every single person attached to the film. Thank you With gratitude, Shilpa Shetty Kundra #Hungama2 (sic).”Earlier, in the day, Mumbai Police recorded Shilpa's statement in the pornography case. Shetty’s statement was recorded at her house in suburban Juhu in the afternoon. The crime branch of Mumbai Police also conducted a search of the house and seized a laptop. Earlier in the day, a court extended Kundra’s police custody till July 27. He was arrested in the case on July 19.in a case of alleged production and distribution of pornographic films
