Actor Ameesha Patel finally broke her silence on accusations of her allegedly defrauding a producer. According to Firstpost, Ameesha Patel has been accused by producer Ajay Kumar Singh of having him invest in a film in 2017 titled Desi Magic and getting him to transfer Rs 2.5 crore in her bank account. The producer alleged that the actor didn’t return the amount despite later refusing to be a part of the film. Without mentioning the case, Ameesha took to Twitter to shut down “ridiculous rumours” about her.
As a public figure I wake up to hilarious n ridiculous rumours on the professional n personal front repeatedly I see old rumours and gossips resurfacing constantly C’MON GUYS .. The said case was heard by the Jharkhand High Court earlier this week where both the parties were reportedly asked to settle the matter via mediation. The court has directed them to file a written response in the next two weeks. "Comebacks are for the actors who get married and have kids and then plan to come back. I never left this industry. I have always been here," she'd said in a 2013 interview with IANS, addressing reports that she'd stepped away from the film industry. After making her debut with Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai, Ameesha appeared in box office hits such as Gadar: Ek Prem Katha and Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Her last film was 2018's Bhaiaji Superhit. Ameesha also appeared on Bigg Boss 13 as the 'maalkin (mistress)' of the house. She left the show after a brief stint.
