Actor Amal Sehrawat started his career as a model and participated in Grasim Mr India where he was among top Six Finalists and also runners up for Best Physique.  Later on Amal started his acting career. Apart from his television work, the actor is also known for his work in films like Satya 2, Sarkar 3 - both directed by Ram Gopal Varma.

When asked what is  harder success or maintaining success, he says,”In my view, life itself is a continuous challenge and that’s precisely what makes it exciting. Challenges push you beyond your comfort zone and help you discover your true potential. Whether it’s achieving success or sustaining it, both come with their own set of demands. If you learn to embrace the process of growth, challenges stop feeling like pressure and start becoming purposeful. Without them, life would feel rather monotonous.”

He adds,”Success often brings with it a surge of fame, attention, and validation. If an actor isn’t grounded, it’s easy to get carried away by momentary glamour. That’s when the focus can subtly shift from the craft to more materialistic distractions. The moment you start believing you’re above the process, you begin to drift away from it. That disconnect eventually reflects in your work, leading to inconsistency in performance.”

So how  do you personally balance the drive to achieve more with the need to stay consistent? He says,”I wouldn’t say I’m driven by an endless pursuit of more in the material sense. I chose acting for creative fulfillment, not for the race that often comes with it. What truly excites me is the opportunity to portray diverse characters, to step into different lives, mindsets, and cultures. That creative exploration is what keeps me motivated and consistent, rather than the pursuit of external validation.”

In Amal’s career have there been moments where staying consistent felt more challenging than reaching a milestone? He adds,”Absolutely. As the saying goes, every day isn’t the same. There are moments when your focus isn’t at its peak, or external factors—like chaos on set or a difficult personal day—affect your performance. In such situations, maintaining consistency becomes a real challenge. That’s why many actors, even after delivering a performance, often feel they could have done better. It’s part of the process.”

So what's your goal - one big breakthrough or consistent performance over time? Amal says,”Without a doubt, it’s consistent performance over time. Sustained effort and persistence can often outweigh even raw talent. It’s similar to the classic fable of the tortoise and the hare—steady progress ultimately wins the race. One-time success may bring attention, but long-term credibility is built through consistency.”
