Filmmaker Karan Johar will turn 49 in a few days time and the director has decided to celebrate the special day with some of the biggest names from the entertainment industry. According to a report in Pinkvilla, Kjo will be celebrating his birthday in Alibaug instead of his Bandra residence and it is expected to be a star-studded affair. The guest list includes the biggest names of the showbiz like Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Varun Dhawan, Natasha Dalal, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Manish Malhotra, Kriti Sanon, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi, Jahnvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Maheep Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Chunky Panday, Bhavna Panday, Ananya Panday, Ishan Khatter, Seema Khan, Neelam, Zoya Akhtar, Rani Mukherjee, Aditya Chopra, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. 

The invites have been sent to all these celebrities to arrive at Alibaug. Due to the rising COVID-19 cases, the birthday celebration will go on for 3 days. including the 24th, 25th, and 26th of May. The number of guests has been divided as to not crowd the affair and some of them will start arriving from the 23rd.Though there are some celebs, who are missing this bash, which includes, Ranveer/Deepika, Kareena/Saif, Rani Mukherjee/Aditya Chopra and Anushka Sharma/Virat Kohli. On the work front, Karan Johar is currently busy with hs production ventures, which include, Jugg Jugg Jiyo, Bhahmastra, and Vijay Deverakonda’s Hindi debut Liger. Karan's  last directorial was Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. He was supposed to begin work on Takht, a period drama on the lives of the Mughals, last year, but it had to be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Through his banner Dharma Productions, he has launched star kids such as Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor and Ananya Panday.
