Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 3: Suriya-Trisha’s Film Crosses Rs 120 Crore Worldwide; Check Day-Wise Earnings Report

Karuppu Box Office Collection Day 3: Suriya and Trisha Krishnan-starrer Karuppu continued its strong theatrical run on Day 3, taking its worldwide gross collection past the Rs 120 crore mark. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 28.35 crore net across 6,843 shows on its third day (Sunday) with a 17.4 percent jump from Rs 24.15 crore on the previous day (Saturday). With this, the total India net collection has reached Rs 68 crore, while the India gross stands at Rs 78.75 crore. Overseas, the film added Rs 13 crore gross on Day 3, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 42 crore. After three days, the worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 120.75 crore.

The Tamil version continued to dominate the box office with Rs 24.20 crore net and 73 percent occupancy across 5,048 shows, while the Telugu version collected Rs 4.15 crore net from 1,795 shows with 40 percent occupancy. The film recorded an overall occupancy of 64.3 percent on Sunday, showing strong growth through the opening weekend.

Directed by RJ Balaji, Karuppu was initially scheduled to release on May 14 but faced a delay due to reported financial issues. The film eventually released in theatres on May 15. Following the resolution, Suriya shared a message for fans on social media, thanking them for their support during the delay. “Dear all… Thank you for being with us! #Karuppu #VeeraBhadrudu from today!” the actor wrote.

Karuppu also marks the reunion of Suriya and Trisha after their 2005 film Aaru. The cast also includes Yogi Babu, Indrans, Sshivada, Swasika, Natty, Supreeth Reddy and Anagha Maya Ravi in key roles, while RJ Balaji plays the antagonist Baby Kannan.
