The Mumbai Police  produced Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra along with Ryan Thorpe before Magistrate Court and sought 7 days further police custody, in connection with a case relating to the production of pornographic films. According to a E-Times report,  Raj is not cooperating with the police and has no answers to the questions he is being asked by them. The report also added that the businessman is denying all the charges against him. Along with Raj, about 11 other people have been arrested in connection with the case.

A police official told the news portal that Raj is saying he never made porn movies. They are now planning to inform the court about how Kundra is not cooperating in the police investigation and not divulging any details. The official further added that despite whatever Kundra has to say, they have strong evidence against him in the case. On Monday, the police had described Kundra as the key conspirator in the case, which was registered on February 4 at the Malwani police station in suburban Mumbai. Kundra has been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
