Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who was allegedly named by Rhea Chakraborty in a drug case is not been seen at her residence. A report on Times Now claims that the security guards of her apartment building have maintained that the actress is not at her flat, stating that she is currently out shooting a film in the outskirts of Hyderabad. Since news broke about the actress being among 25 others named by Rhea in the ongoing drugs investigation by the Narcotics Control Bureau, she and her team have remained unavailable for comments.
The NCB is currently trying to unearth the drug mafia link in Bollywood. Several other film industries in the country have also come under the scanner. A Sandalwood and even a Tollywood drug scandal have come to light over the past weeks.On Friday it was revealed that Rakul, along with Sara Ali Khan and fashion designer Simmone Khambatta, who were friends with late Rajput are under the scanner of the NCB. The media reports further state that Rhea Chakraborty also named a filmmaker in relation to the drugs case that is being probed by the Narcotics Control Bureau. The late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death case is also being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate and CBI. The ED is looking into the money laundering angle in the late actor's case. On the work front, Rakul’s shoot for a cross-border love story was cancelled after her co-star Arjun Kapoor tested positive for Covid-19
