Salman Khan's lawyer Satish Maneshinde to defend Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case

Hours after Sushant Singh Rajput's father Mr.K.K Singh lodged an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty the Jalebi actress quickly got into the act of meeting with her lawyers. According to reports, Rhea Chakraborty has hired Satish Maneshinde, one of the most expensive lawyers in India, to defend herself against the charges. Maneshinde has earlier handled cases of Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt. While he represented the former in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, he fought for the latter in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.

Rhea, who is facing some serious charges including Abetment of Suicide (IPC Section 206) and Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property (IPC Section 420), is expected to apply for an interim bail today. It has been reported that Maneshinde had signed the papers for anticipatory bail on Tuesday night itself as junior lawyer Anandini Fernandes was spotted outside Rhea’s house in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Sushant's family lawyer said that the case had been filed in Patna, Bihar as there was a part of the cause of action and also because of the Mumbai Police's course of the investigation. Further, Sushant's family's lawyer firmly put forth that the late actor had been duped of Rs 15 crores, alleging that the money had been mysteriously withdrawn for unknown purposes.
