Sohum Shah and Tumbbad 2 Team Celebrate Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Birthday With Special Wishes: “Working with You Is a Special Journey

Following the massive success of its first chapter, Tumbbad 2 has emerged as one of the most highly anticipated films in Indian cinema. With expectations soaring, it appears that Sohum Shah Films is going all out to create a cinematic experience on an even grander scale. Adding to the excitement, Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen entering the dark and intriguing world of Tumbbad for the sequel, making fans even more curious about what lies ahead.  On the occasion of Nawazuddin’s birthday today, Sohum Shah and the Tumbbad 2 team shared heartfelt wishes on social media, calling him a treasure and expressing how special it is to work alongside him.

Sohum shared a picture of himself with Nawazuddin and wrote, “Happy Birthday Nawaz Bhai! Working with you is a special journey I’ll always cherish.” Sohum Shah Films also shared a video compiling wishes from the cast and crew of Tumbbad 2, who went all out praising the actor. The post's caption read, “We went looking for the treasure of #Tumbbad… Turns out, we were working with him all along 💛 Team #Tumbbad2 wishes @nawazuddin._siddiqui a very happy birthday ✨”

Sohum Shah’s Tumbbad was much more than just a film; it evolved into a cult phenomenon that brilliantly blended folklore, mystery, and horror. Its fan following only grew stronger over time, with the 2024 re-release becoming one of the highest-grossing Indian re-releases. 

It was recently reported that a 200-day shoot schedule and a sprawling 7–8 acre city-like set in Mumbai have already amplified excitement around the sequel. Adding to the anticipation, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is set to bring his unique brilliance and powerful screen presence, making the world of Tumbbad 2 even more compelling. 

Backed by Sohum Shah Films and Pen Studios, the film is slated to go on floors later this year. Tumbbad 2 is being spearheaded by actor-producer Sohum Shah under his banner, Sohum Shah Films, in collaboration with Pen Studios, headed by veteran producer Dr. Jayantilal Gada. Pen Studios is known for backing blockbuster films such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
