Actor Sandeep Nahar died allegedly by suicide in Mumbai's Goregaon area, said police on Monday. According to the police officials, Nahar died at his residence and his body has been sent for post-mortem. A case has been lodged and the matter is being probed, said police. His wife told police that she along with two others recovered his body in a hanging condition, Deputy Commissioner of Police Vishal Thakur said. "The body has been sent for postmortem and the exact cause of his death can be ascertained after that," he said. Nahar, who had worked in 'Kesari' and 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story', wrote a note on Facebook, stating that he was going to die by suicide. In a video on his social media handle, Nahar was speaking about his life, explaining how he was suffering at both personal and professional levels.

In his long FB post, Nahar accused his wife Kanchan and mother-in-law of relentlessly harassing and blackmailing him. He wrote, "I don't feel like living anymore. I saw lots of ups and downs in my life, faced each and every problem, but today, the kind of trauma I am going through is beyond my control. I also know that resorting to suicide is a sheer act of cowardness and I really wanted to live. But, living a life like this is of no use where there is no self-respect and satisfaction.”

His caption further read, “It’s not her (Kanchan's) mistake because her nature is such that she feels everything is normal, but it’s not normal for me. In the last two years, my life has changed completely. However, I have never shared anything with anyone. People feel that everything is absolutely fine in my life…"The actor, who was also seen in ALT Balaji’s Kehne Ko Humsafar Hai also said that he had experienced suicidal thoughts before as well, but, had decided to give things some time with the hope that his marital life will change. In his long post, Sandeep also mentioned that his family members should not be held responsible for his decision. The actor ended his final note by saying that his wife should not be blamed for his extreme step. The actor is known for performing supporting roles alongside Akshay Kumar and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra in June 2020.
