Sushant Singh Rajput's flatmate Siddharth Pithani has applied for bail as he is planning to tie the knot. Pithani was arrested by NCB for procuring and consuming contraband in a case related to Sushant Singh Rajput's death. When asked if Pithani wants bail to get married, his lawyer Taraq Sayed informs, "He has applied for regular bail but his marriage is scheduled for June 26. The hearing of the bail application is on June 16. I will appeal to the honourable judge to give him interim bail so that he can get married and come back and surrender and the regular procedure for bail can continue".
However, the Narcotics Control Bureau isn't aware about Pithani's marriage plans. Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede clarifies, "We were told about the engagement but there was no mention of the marriage to us. All this has got nothing to do with our case". Pithani Earlier on June 4, Siddharth Pithani was sent14-day judicial custody in connection with the drug case linked to the actor's death. Following his arrest, a Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court in Mumbai on Friday remanded Pithani to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till June 1.Earlier on Thursday, the NCB summoned Sushant's bodyguard for the second day in a row, in the drug case linked to the late actor's death. The NCB, which has been probing the drugs angle in the actor's death case, started the investigation after it received official communication from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were various chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation. Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14 last year.
