Brazil just had the perfect start to their Olympics campaign with with an impressive 4-2 victory over Germany on Thursday. Richarlison opened the scoring, driving home at the second attempt in the seventh minute, before heading Brazil into a 2-0 lead.

He completed his hat-trick with a fine strike in the 30th minute leaving Germany shell shocked. Nadiem Amiri pulled one back for Germany after the break and although Max Arnold was dismissed in the 63rd minute, a Ragnar Ache header gave Brazil an unexpectedly nervous final stage. Richarlison's strikes helped Brazil, the 2016 Rio Olympics gold-medalists, lead 3-0 at half-time.
