As many as 156 more persons tested coronavirus positive in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday, taking the active cases to 2,591 and total tally to 4,730 in the union territory.

Of the 156 new cases, 88 were in Jammu division and 68 in Kashmir division, a statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said.

Another patient succumbed to coronavirus in Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu on Friday, taking the total casualties to 53 in J&K.

As many as 2,086 patients have recovered. Of the active cases, 738 are in Jammu division and 1,853 in Kashmir division.
