A suspected coronavirus patient escaped from a government hospital in Punjab by breaking window panes, police said on Thursday.

Chandigarh, April 16 A suspected coronavirus patient escaped from a government hospital in Punjab by breaking window panes, police said on Thursday.

He was a resident of Nagrota in neighbouring Himachal Pradesh.

Yusuf Khan was admitted to an isolation ward of the Civil Hospital in Hoshiarpur town from where he fled on Wednesday night.

He was apprehended by the police a few days back from the railway station in Dasuya town.

Doctors said he has no sign of the virus. His samples were sent for investigation on Wednesday.
