At least three spectators were killed and several others injured after a monster truck rammed into the crowd of people at the event in Colombia's Popayan on Sunday, May 3. The video of the incident, which surfaced on social media, shows sudden, horrific visuals.

The accident took place in an exhibition event in the southern ⁠Colombian city of Popayan, ​in the province of ​Cauca, after the driver of the truck lost control, according to the news agency Reuters, citing the regional governor.

A viral video shows a huge monster truck with big tyres clearing the obstacle, but it lost control and failed to apply the brakes on time, which caused the vehicle to veer off into the spectators. A Popayan city ​official ⁠said one of the victims was a 10-year-old ⁠girl, ​according to Colombian ​newspaper El Espectador.
