A 52-year-old Indian man has been arrested for allegedly raping a co passenger sitting next to him on a flight to Australia. The accused, identified as Sudhir Kumar Chahuan, is accused of attacking the female passenger on a Scoot Airlines flight from Singapore to Perth on Monday, April 13.

The woman alerted the flight crew and she was later shifted to another seat. The crew then kept an eye on the man for the rest of the flight, alerting authorities, according to the New York Post.

The accused person was taken off the flight by authorities when it landed. He has since been charged with sexual intercourse without consent and multiple counts of indecency without consent.
