A shocking case from Paratwada in Maharashtra’s Amravati district has triggered widespread outrage after an alleged obscene video racket came to light, sending shockwaves across the region.

According to police sources, more than 350 explicit videos have surfaced on social media platforms, reportedly showing objectionable acts involving several young women. It is suspected that nearly 108 girls have been exploited in the case, with some of them believed to be minors.

Investigations suggest that the accused allegedly lured girls into relationships, recorded intimate videos with them, and later used the footage to blackmail the victims. The videos were allegedly circulated on platforms such as Instagram and Telegram, creating panic and anger among local residents.

Police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act along with other relevant sections. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is currently underway. Authorities are also probing whether a larger network was involved in the circulation of these videos.

The incident has sparked strong reactions from locals and political leaders, who have demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the matter. Meanwhile, police have assured that strict action will be taken against all those involved and that the identities of the victims will be kept strictly confidential.

The sensational case has once again raised serious concerns about women’s safety and the increasing menace of cybercrime in the state.
