At least seven people were injured in a shooting in Paterson, New Jersey, on Sunday evening (US local time), May 10. The gunfire took place near the 10th Avenue and 17th Street area near Rosa Parks Boulevard and Godwin Avenue.
Six people injured in the shooting were transported to the nearby hospital, while one person left the scene on their own. There's no official statement regarding the seriousness of injuries.
A video of police personnel making rounds on the internet in which scenes from the shooting site show shooting victims on the ground and policemen can be seen forcefully holding another man down, yelling, 'help my brother.'

At least 12 gunshots were fired at around 8 pm, after which people started screaming, which was heard by an eyewitness who gave a statement to a local media in New Jersey, News12. He said the scene was "chaotic" immediately after.
This was the second mass shooting that happened in a New Jersey community in less than a month. There was the one at the Chick-fil-A in Union Township on April 11.
