South Korea reported 2,049 more cases of the COVID-19 as of midnight Wednesday compared to 24 hours ago, raising the total number of infections to 267,470.

The daily caseload was slightly up from 2,048 in the prior day, hovering above 1,000 for 65 straight days. The daily average tally for the past week was 1,725.
