Denmark will reopen its embassy in Ukraine today, the Danish foreign ministry has said.
Foreign minister Jeppe Kofod told the Danish broadcaster DR: “It’s a very strong symbol of the Danish support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people that today we are reopening the doors to the Danish embassy.”
France, the US and the UK have already announced that they are moving their embassies back to Kyiv.
Meanwhile, Russia on 24th February launched the war on Ukraine. However,German chancellor Olaf Scholz has pledged to continue supporting Ukraine with money, aid and weapons, saying a pacifist approach to the war is “outdated.” Also, South Korea has become the latest country to reopen its embassy in Kyiv, the Foreign Ministry in Seoul has said. Ambassador Kim Hyung-tae is set to resume working from Kyiv on Monday.
