Important Rituals And Traditions To Follow On Vaishakha Purnima

Devotees begin the day by waking up before sunrise and taking a holy bath. Those observing the fast first take a sankalp before starting the vrat. Fasting from dawn till moonrise is considered one of the key rituals of the day. During Satyanarayan Puja, idols of Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, and Shree Yantra are placed on a wooden platform, followed by lighting a diya and offering panchamrit and roasted wheat panjeeri. Chanting Vishnu mantras and performing aarti are considered highly beneficial. Devotees also worship Chandra Dev by offering water mixed with milk, distribute bhog among family members, and finally break their fast with sattvik food while avoiding tamasik items.
