Everyone desires to look beautiful and attractive, leading many to invest in expensive beauty treatments worth lakhs of rupees. Nowadays, people enhance not just their complexion and hair but also various body parts through significant surgeries or beauty treatments. This includes costly options like fillers, Botox, and microneedling. Many prominent Assamese figures, Bollywood actresses, and celebrities frequently undergo these treatments to enhance their on-screen appearance and establish their names in the industry. The trend of such beauty treatments, including the viral 'Barbie Botox' for enhancing the neck and shoulders, has gradually reached everyday individuals and young girls.

Currently, Botox treatments, including hair and skin Botox, are trending, with increasing interest in 'Barbie Botox' among women. Let's explore what 'Barbie Botox' is, its purpose, and its benefits, based on insights from plastic surgeon Dr. Pallavi Phatak in an interview with Navbharat Times.

'Barbie Botox' is a cosmetic treatment designed to shape and enhance the neck and shoulders. Similar to lip fillers that modify lip volume, Barbie Botox aims to elongate, slim, and define the neck and shoulders by relaxing the trapezius muscle, hence its alternative names like trapezius botox or trap botox. Additionally, this treatment helps relieve muscle tension.

The effects of Barbie Botox become noticeable within 2 to 6 weeks, with some swelling on the shoulders for a few days. The results last between 3 to 6 months before requiring a repeat treatment to maintain the desired appearance.

The cost of 'Barbie Botox' ranges from Rs 15,000 to Rs 50,000, varying based on the doctor's experience and location.

As 'Barbie Botox' gains popularity for contouring facial treatments, it is crucial to consult an expert before any cosmetic procedure and select the right treatment for your needs. Remember, undergoing treatments solely to resemble someone else or to follow trends is not advisable, as not every new procedure suits everyone.
